Know what mobile money fees cost you

Sending and withdrawal charges look small one at a time, but they add up over a month. Record them under their own "Fees" category and check the total at month end. If it's higher than you expected, try fewer, larger withdrawals, or pay directly from your wallet where that's cheaper.

What is FinTracker?
FinTracker is a personal finance tracker for Uganda that brings your bank, mobile money and cash accounts together in UGX, with income streams, savings goals, debt tracking, net worth, Excel exports and an AI assistant that logs transactions from chat messages and receipt photos. You can try it free for 7 days, then it costs UGX 10,000 a month or UGX 100,000 a year, paid with mobile money.
How does the AI assistant work?
Open Assistant in the app and type what you spent or received, attach a photo of a receipt or mobile money confirmation, or ask a question about your money. The assistant prepares the transaction and shows it to you, and nothing is saved until you tap Confirm. It is included in every plan: up to 30 messages and 10 receipt scans a day during the free trial, and 200 messages and 50 receipt scans a day on a paid plan.
How does the free trial work?
Create an account and you get 7 days of full access to every feature. You don’t need a card or a mobile money number to start. When the trial ends, choose a monthly or yearly plan to keep using FinTracker.
How do I pay?
With mobile money, through ioTec Pay’s secure checkout. Pick Monthly (UGX 10,000) or Yearly (UGX 100,000) in Settings → Subscription, enter your mobile money number and approve the prompt on your phone. Plans don’t renew automatically: we email you a few days before yours ends so you can renew.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time from Settings → Subscription. You keep full access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can download your transactions, income streams and net worth history as Excel files whenever you like.
Is my financial data private?
Yes. Your records belong to your account and are only visible to you when you’re signed in; other users can’t see them. FinTracker doesn’t connect to your bank or mobile money accounts, so you decide what goes in. Data is stored with Supabase in the EU (Ireland). When you use the AI assistant, your messages and receipt photos are sent to our AI provider to produce replies; see the privacy policy for details.
